Bistek, also known as Bistek Tagalog, is a Filipino dish that
translates to “Filipino Beef Steak.” It’s made from thinly
sliced beef, usually sirloin or tenderloin, marinated in soy
sauce and calamansi juice (or lemon juice), then pan-fried with
onions. The dish is known for its savory and slightly tangy
flavor profile, often accompanied by a rich sauce made from the
marinade. It’s a beloved comfort food in the Philippines.
